Pediatric Chiropractic
at Riversedge Wellness
Your child’s early development sets the foundation for lifelong health. From birth through adolescence, gentle chiropractic helps support proper growth, development, and nervous system function.
Starting Life Strong
Birth can be physically demanding for both Mother and Baby, whether delivery is natural or cesarean. During a natural birth, babies receive their first spinal adjustment by passing through the birth canal. However, cesarean-delivered babies miss this natural adjustment process, potentially affecting their nervous system development. Early chiropractic care can help address any birth-related strains and support optimal development.
Common Concerns We See in Children
- Sleep difficulties and colic
- Feeding challenges and latching issues
- Ear infections and respiratory concerns
- Sports injuries and posture problems
- Developmental delays and coordination issues
Our Gentle Approach
Children receive special care tailored to their size and development stage. Dr. La Grange uses extremely gentle finger-tip adjustments for infants and toddlers—no twisting or cracking involved. As kids grow, techniques gradually adapt to their changing bodies and comfort levels. We make each visit fun and engaging, helping children feel comfortable and involved in their care.
When You Come to Our Practice
Pediatric appointments differ from adult visits, lasting approximately one hour for new patients. Your child’s first visit thoroughly assesses their spine, nervous system function, and developmental markers. We take time to explain our findings and answer all your questions. We may include foot scanning to check for growing posture concerns for teenagers.
Help Your Child Get on the Wellness Path
We believe in working closely with parents to support their children’s health goals. Our team explains every step of the process in clear, simple terms and provides guidance for supporting your child’s spinal health at home. Regular check-ups help ensure proper development and catch potential issues early.
